App Tooling Marketplace (Stripe)
Following Stripe's acquisition of OpenChannel in Dec 2021, led the technical migration of OpenChannel App Marketplace Dashboard into Stripe's Marketplace Admin Dashboard (MAD). Ensured timely completion of migration and smooth shutdown of OpenChannel systems. Collaborated with existing customers to facilitate app sunsetting and infrastructure transitions. Integrated Slack and email notifications for app review workflows, enabling reviewers and developers to receive real-time notifications on app submissions, approvals, and rejections.

About This Project
When Stripe acquired OpenChannel in December 2021, I was entrusted with leading one of the most critical post-acquisition projects: migrating the OpenChannel App Marketplace Dashboard into Stripe's existing Marketplace Admin Dashboard (MAD). This was a complex undertaking that required deep understanding of both systems and careful coordination across multiple teams.
The migration involved more than just moving code - it required translating OpenChannel's architecture and business logic into Stripe's technology stack. I worked extensively with Ruby, Java, and GraphQL to ensure seamless integration while maintaining the functionality that OpenChannel customers depended on.
A key part of my role was managing the customer transition. I collaborated directly with existing OpenChannel customers to plan their migration timeline, address their concerns, and ensure their apps continued to function throughout the transition. This included developing detailed migration guides and providing hands-on support during the cutover period.
I also enhanced the platform by implementing a comprehensive notification system for the app review workflow. Reviewers and developers now receive real-time notifications via Slack and email when apps are submitted, approved, or rejected. This improvement significantly reduced review turnaround times and improved the developer experience.
The project was completed on schedule, and all OpenChannel systems were successfully sunset without any service disruptions to customers.
